Hemmingway’s Bistro is one of the most undervalued and underappreciated fine dining restaurants in the Hollywood — Dania Beach Area. I think the patrons actually want to keep it a secret.
Inside, you are reminded of a small Italian village. You know, the one you’ve always wanted to visit but somehow never got around to it. Located in between a Dollar Store and a Walmart, “Italy” is simply in the wrong place. However, in our hearts and in our taste, it is the most perfect place.
Hemingway’s Bistro is one of the finest dining experiences in the Dania Beach Area.
Catering to the many older citizens who live in the area, an early bird (sunset menu) special is offered. So yes you can eat here for even less. Not that anything here is expensive.
They feature Italian, I think French and lots of seafood. During the year you’ll find they have stone crab specials at amazing prices. They also have lobster specials as well as lamb and regional Italian entrées.
Tonight my wife and I are able to sample the chicken Parmesan over linguine, as well as the grilled salmon. This also came with a salad and, a never can go wrong choice of Key Lime Pie. We’ve been here a few times and will continue to return. In fact, we love it so much here that we strive to bring guests.
Whether you are coming back from the beach or headed off to the executive suite you will feel comfortable in the casual ambiance of this restaurant.
If you happen to be in town for just a few weeks this is definitely a spot not to be missed. If you’ve never heard of Hemingway’s café, now you know. Don’t forsake your new knowledge.
UPDATE: Since this write up there have been a few new dishes added as the chefs have expanded their menu. Don’t forget their crab claw & “Sunset” specials!
