Yes, you can dramatically lower your cholesterol levels — without drugs — if you eat right, and the first easy step is Oatmeal. It’s scary to be told that your Cholesterol Levels are too high and that you’re going to need Cholesterol Medication. But there are natural ways to fight bad Cholesterol.
According to our friends at the Mayo Clinic, oatmeal is full of soluble fiber which can dramatically decrease your “LDL” (low-density lipoprotein) cholesterol, the kind your doctor worries about and often gives you pills for.
Oatmeal is one of the easiest things to make and is perhaps one of the most healthy breakfast foods you can have, and you can make it in under 5 minutes.
So to start to get healthy, and you need to do this, all it takes is about 5 minutes a day, every day. You’ll also start off every morning strong, as oatmeal is slow dissolving food. This means you won’t have hunger cravings as soon as you get to work or school, and your sugar/glucose levels will be stable.
I use Quaker Oats Steel Cut Quick 3-Minute Oats, order on Amazon. It really does take about that long. And to make it is simple. Just use a 1/2 measuring cup. Take any coffee mug and fill it with 1 cup of water and microwave for 1 minute to bring up the water to almost a boil. Take it out of the microwave and, if you want, put in a small amount of fruit. I add raspberries to mine. It improves the taste and is very healthy. Then I let it sit for about a minute and I’ll add the 1/2 cup of the oats, stir, and put it back in the microwave for 30 seconds.
After it’s done, take out the oatmeal, stir again for a few seconds until you have consistency, then let it sit for about 3 more minutes so it is not too hot. Then enjoy!
You’ll be getting a delicious breakfast, which will keep your energy up and your cholesterol low! Make your morning life even easier, get it delivered to your door from Amazon.
*please note that I’m NOT a doctor, so if he or she prescribes Cholesterol Medication, don’t stop taking it until they say it’s ok after your diet and exercise habits have changed!
