Patron Azteca Mexican Restaurant is one of the most authentic restaurants in the South Florida Area. We’ve been going there for years and the good part is that nothing ever changes. The food stays the same and stays true to the recipes handed down from generation to generation.
Start out your meal as we did, with warm tortilla chips and go for the guacamole. And of course please don’t skip on the margaritas. They are large and every bit delicious. They are also very reasonably priced and are available at the bar or at the table.
I had the Chicken Fajitas, my personal favorite. It came out smoking on the skillet, a skill few restaurants can master, with a healthy amount of side fixings. I think there’s a more technical term for that but that’s all that comes to mind right now. My wife had the chicken burrito. It’s overstuffed with chicken and cheese and served with refried beans with rice topped with cheese. Enough cheese for anyone for Wisconsin.
As we are enjoying this meal, the star attraction of the restaurant came and visited us. Yes, the Mariachi Band. These guys really make your night and their singing is simply incredible. I don’t know if this happens in Mexico, but it happens here. I’m hoping to return to Patron Azteca Mexican Restaurant real soon.
